You'll probably notice that from this week on there are no more "e-tailers" advertising on my pages. After some issues with the extremely friendly and accommodating crowd at NetFlorist, I've decided to give them a skip. The same applies to Kalahari.net in general. I will still look for specifics which might interest you as my reader and slap it on every here and there.

Instead, the only "shop" you'll find is the online bookstore that AfricanCrisis set up.

At last it seems that Robert McBride is reaching the end of his claim to unaccountability and lawlessness. After his crash whilst under the influence of alcohol (according to his own staff) and threats of wiping out their families if they ever dared testify against him, they are. It so happened that the three officers who came to his rescue on that fateful night, got suspended. They turned on him in a big way.

He is now up on several charges and the man who was on death row for the bombing of a bar in Durban in which 3 people died in 1986, the same man who got off on arms smuggling charges in Mozambique in 1998, has been relieved of his duties of chief of traffic in Ekurhuleni. About time. There is no place for people like him in our country, especially not in a position of power.

Our state broadcaster is in deep trouble following reports of massive mismanagement of funds. Seems the people in power has been lining their own pockets nicely by awarding certain legal contracts to their own firms and paying three times the going rate for services rendered. More big shots will hopefully to removed.

We've seen reporters uncovering major stories of corruption and embezzlement in the past but it seems there's no slowing down. It is essential for the public to be aware of these stories and it's even more important for the law to take it's course. What is disturbing though is that most of these big shots just move on to their next target. Most of them are on various boards of companies (image thing for the company due to forced BEE regulations) where they can continue living the high life.

It seems some type of virus has affected our rich black community, speaking of which :

NELSON MANDELA VIRUS
Stays locked away in some unused region of your pc for 27 years and then takes it over completely.

WINNIE MANDELA VIRUS
Extinguishes all data like a stompie

APARTHEID VIRUS
Separates Power Point slides based on colour. The nice thing about this virus is that anything that goes wrong with your computer can be blamed on this virus.

AFFIRMATIVE ACTION VIRUS
A second rate virus that takes the place of a really good program that was on your PC. In some cases the really good program still hangs around and does all the work but the virus takes the credit

MINI BUS TAXI VIRUS
Crashes through your PC with very little regard for the rules of the internet highway. Stops data traffic for no reason. Causes other data to explode. Doesn't have a software licence.

STRIKERS VIRUS
Stops your PC in the middle of crucial production runs. Also causes your PC speakers to toi-toi at regular intervals, and is always demanding more memory.

MATRIC PAPER VIRUS
This virus is a stolen version of the real thing. Makes your PC worth less than the plastic its made of.

THIRD WORLD VIRUS
Keeps turning your clock back by 20 years. Slows down the fastest PC to the speed of the operator and has to be manually supervised to check for errors.

SQUATTER VIRUS
Takes illegal residence of your PC and then starts stealing components, difficult to remove, claims to have more right to your PC than installed programs, because its forefathers were there first.

EDUCATION POLICY VIRUS
Tries to drag all PCs down to the level of the slowest machine with the least memory.

AK-47 VIRUS
Is obsessed with killing your motherboard, fatherboard and any other board that it finds.

ANC VIRUS
Also similar to the Microsoft Virus, Promises you the earth but fails to deliver or delivers software with more bugs than the original.
